How fees work
What a visit costs depends on your plan, the tooth and what Dr. Krishnan finds. Here is how we handle each part, and what you can ask us to put in writing.
Insurance we work with
Most patients are referred by their dentist and want to know what their plan does. We file claims for you with the plans we are in network with, and tell you before treatment starts whether yours is one of them.
Most dental PPO plans: we file the claim for you
DHMO and capitation plans: it depends on the plan, so ask us first
Medicare and Medicare Advantage: dental coverage varies by plan, and we check it with you
Medicaid and CHIP: this office does not bill them
If you pay yourself
If you have no dental insurance, or choose not to use it, we give you a written estimate before treatment and you pay for the visit as planned. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.
Receipts for reimbursement
If you pay us and your plan reimburses you, we give you an itemized statement to send in. Your plan decides what it pays.
An estimate in advance
You can ask for a written estimate before any treatment. If you are paying without insurance, we give you a written good faith estimate of the expected charges before your visit.
Checking your benefits
Our referral coordinator checks your dental benefits before your first visit and tells you what the plan lists for endodontic treatment and what is left for you. A plan's estimate is not a promise of payment.
What the first visit includes
The first visit includes an exam, tests of the tooth, a radiograph and a talk with Dr. Krishnan about what she found, the options and the risks. Bring your plan card and a list of your medicines. You fill in forms before you come, on our own site.

Questions about paying
Will I know what I owe before treatment?
You get a written estimate before treatment starts, and a statement of your plan's part and yours once your plan has replied.
What if my plan pays less than the estimate?
We tell you if that changes what you owe, and why, before we go on.
Can I get a statement to send to my plan?
Yes. We give you an itemized statement. Your plan decides what it pays.
